Spiderweb Quilt



Oh goodness, it's been like forever since I posted to my blogs. I got inspired by a quilt on Fibermanina blog. It's called the Spider Web and she gave instruction and the template she used. I just had to stop the other things I was doing and do it.

Here are the first blocks.

I did more blocks because they are contagious and I did have a bucket full of strips. I didn't have to cut anything, except to straighten some out. Now I have to fill all those triangles.

Oh Boy, this was a sew as you go deal. Custom triangles and quads or whatever it's called. I filled the outside. Now I have to draft the corners to square it off...

Here is the main quilt middle completed...

OMG, I just saw the Frickadellen on the dollsquiltsetc. I make them all the time and every time I do my son gets a huge kick out of the name,,,simple minds and all. I got this recipe from my Oma. Wish I could remember some of the others.

Hi Rosy, I'm so glad that Melody told us about your work! I love your design - I especially love the little splashes of colors other than blue - a little red here, a little yellow there. Lovely! I share you love of quilting and cooking, too.

Oh gosh, I saw all these comments and I'm like wow lol....Dee those frickadellen are from my childhood and now and then I remember something and try to make it from memory and the google, of course...Melody inspires me so much, she has boundless energy and it's catching....
