I have joined the Sue challenge lol...here are my two Sue's so far but first as I am quilting away, I go to check on hubby. Here they are sound asleep. Molly has her two back legs on his chest..how cute....talk about relax...

This is a 1930 pattern of Sue and I made her with Aunt Gracie fabric.
This is just a regular Sue.

I'm using a red toil floral for the backgrounds. I am making any size and will add alternate blocks to make it different. All the Sue's will be different. I have a huge collection of Sue's.

The Sue's are faced with used dryer sheets. I also use those for my crazy blocks and any foundation piecing. I trace the parts onto the dryer sheet, then sew those together with the fabric pieces, make a slash in the dryer sheet and gently turn right side out. I then spray starch and press and use a blanket stitch to applique to background. This gives aclean edge and the dryer sheets are free and carry no weight..

I had a nice mother's day weekend. I sewed all weekend and made 7 crazy blocks, 5 traditional blocks for the challenge and Two Sue's for the new challenge. Son came by bearing gifts and took us out to dinner which didn't happen. The wait was two hours...well back to leftover lol....

Rosy,
I love the SBS that you show here, the background fabric is really pretty too. Show us more as you get them finished okay. Happy quilting.
